Oxnard, CA – May 6, 2002, Voiceboard Corporation announced the release of its MediaPro VME 64, V41DSP, a high density VME DSP board with SCSA TDM access and 240 VoIP ports. The off the shelf software content for the V41DSP provides our OEM customers superior return on investment, along with markedly accelerated time to market.
The MediaPro V41DSP provides SCSA TDM backplane bus switching, dual 100baseT Ethernet ports, 6400 MIPs of C5441 based DSP processing power and an optional 550 MIPs PowerPC 750 mezzanine board, all on a single slot 6U VME board. The PMC750 can be used for running gateway protocol stacks, such as H.323, or the OEM's application program.
The DSP resources on the V41DSP can access data on any of the 2,048 SCSA timeslots. Voiceboard offers an extensive library of off the shelf communications software packages, including VoIP and fax/modem relay, DTMF/Call Progress functions, G.168 echo cancellation, conferencing, mixing and terminating G3 fax. The V41DSP supports media streaming over dual redundant 100BaseT Ethernet ports, managed by its on-board PowerPC.

The V41DSP supports G.711, G.723, G.726 and G.729 vocoders and optional embedded media gateway protocol stacks. OEM developers may also port their own algorithms onto the V41DSP board by using the Voiceboard DSP developer kit.
In it's media gateway configuration, MediaPro V41DSP uniquely includes DSP VoIP media processing and H.323 protocol stack software embedded on its single blade, single slot configuration. The MediaPro V41DSP is available in extended temperature versions for operation in tactical military environments.
The V41DSP DSP board is offered with an optional DDK (DSP developer kit) for customer porting of their own software. The DDK includes DSP McBSP and HPI I/O driver source code, along with firmware for the on board Power PC executive controller. Power PC executive controller firmware is provided to support I/O messaging, payload data transfer buffers, DSP software loading, TCP-UDP/IP protocols, carrier board 10/100baseT Ethernet drivers and a portable Ethernet host API.
