Oxnard, CA – April 10, 2002, The DDK-DSP (DSP developer kit) is available for customer development of telecom software for the TI C5441 series DSP. The DDK includes a tool kit to speed telecom software development and achieve faster time to market for our customers.
The DDK is provided in conjunction with TI's Code Composer Studio for use with Voiceboard's high-density PMC C5441 DSP hardware module, the PMC41.
The DDK includes DSP McBSP and HPI I/O driver source code, along with firmware for the on board 8245 Power PC executive controller. Power PC executive controller firmware is provided to support I/O messaging, payload data transfer buffers, DSP software loading, TCP-UDP/IP protocols, carrier board 10/100baseT Ethernet drivers and a portable Ethernet host API.
Voiceboard's PMC41 mezzanine board is available in multiple configurations up to twelve C5441 DSP's and an 8245 Power PC executive controller. Twelve C5441 devices offer 6,400 MIP's of processing capacity, supporting a true 240 ports of G.72x compressed VoIP or 480 ports of uncompressed G.711 VoIP, including G.168 echo cancellation. The DSP resources on the PMC41 mezzanine can access data on any of the 4,096 H.110 timeslots. The PMC41 supports media streaming over dual redundant 100BaseT Ethernet ports, managed by its on-board PowerPC.
Voiceboard optionally offers an extensive library of off the shelf communications software packages, including VoIP, VoIP Gateway, H.323 Gateway, fax/modem relay, DTMF/call progress functions, G.168 echo cancellation, dynamic or IP conferencing and terminating G3 fax or V.90 modem.
