SwitchBlade™ is a cPCI blade providing SubRate Switching resources to the H.110 bus and 8 on board T1/E1/J1 network spans. Subrate switching may take place between any combination of H.110, T1/E1/J1 span or H.110 and span timeslots.
SwitchBlade supports networking between wireless infrastructure equipment, such as BSC (Base Station Controllers), MSC (Mobile Switching Centers) and TRAU (Transcoding Rate Adapter) Units. SwitchBlade offers a significant increase in channel density, flexibility and performance.
