Voiceboard TDM to Packet Processor

MediaPro TDM to Packet Processor Blade is a single slot 6U cPCI PICMG 2.16 solution capable of converting TDM data to IP packets on 512 ports. Data may be packetized in transparent or HDLC modes. HDLC processing is performed on a DSP mezzanine running carrier class embedded software.

The MediaPro Packet Processor blade interfaces with 4,096 H.110 TDM timeslots. The TDM Packet Processor Blade may be optionally equipped with 8 software selectable T1/E1/J1 span network interfaces.

The TDM to packet processor offers:

• HDLC frame extraction, insertion and CRC checking
• 56K or 64K data handling
• Programmable ring buffer sizes for real-time and data capture modes
• Generation of user-specified data patterns
• Selection of any 1,024 timeslots (512 bi-directional channels) from the H.110 TDM backplane
• IP data streaming via dual 10/100Base-T Ethernet ports
• RTP or AAL packetizing of data streams
• Data Timestamping
• Independent control of each channel’s real-time streaming and Buffered Memory Data Capture Modes
• PICMG 2.16 PSB compliant
• Selectable data capture termination modes with snapshot data capture mode
