Voiceboard’s product line is based on VME and Compact PCI (“cPCI”), preferred standards for high reliability/high performance systems. Compatibility with these standards ensures the Company’s product line is marketable worldwide.
Voiceboard is responding to a major market shift as OEMs begin to purchase the embedded hardware and software components of their product lines from outside vendors. While historically the larger OEMs developed their embedded components in house, time to market pressures, coupled with the recent availability of standard product meeting their required performance specifications, has forced a rapid shift toward outsourcing activity.
